  1. Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Competition Photos

2008 Pan American Championships 03.28.08-03.31.08

The 2008 Pan Jiu Jitsu Championships took Place in Carson, CA on March 29-31, 2008.

REVOLUTION took a team of 3: Jory, Kris and Royce.
LDMA took a team of 2: Paulo and Brandon.

Royce was up first. With less than 10 classes total training, it really says a lot for him to take on this opportunity. This was also his first time to wear a gi ;) He easily won his first match 16-0. His second match he was up 12-0 and got tapped with a gi choke with 5 seconds left. Ahhhhhhh...... So close yet so far away. I have no doubt that with a little training under his belt, Royce will be unstoppable. Welcome to the team!

Kris was up next. He just earned his blue belt in the end of Feb. It was good to see him compete in his new division. He looked good.

Jory got 3rd in the Master's Black Belt division. This was his first competition as a black belt as well, and he had some really even matches throughout.

Paulo got 3rd in his division.

Brandon had 59 people in his white belt division. He looked good in his matches.

Overall it was a good trip and a good time. Congrats to everyone who competed, we look forward to the experience you bring back to the team.
